Why paper strips are not enough
A paper strip shows the opening, the top notes that fade within the first half hour or so. Heart and base notes, the part you live with all day, only appear later and react to the warmth of your skin. Two people can wear the same fragrance and experience it differently.
Five steps
- One fragrance per day. Two fragrances on two wrists blur together.
- Clean, unscented skin. Avoid scented lotion on the test area.
- One spray on the inner wrist or neck. Do not rub.
- Check three times: after 10 minutes, after about 2 hours and in the evening. Note what you like and what disappears.
- Decide the next day. The fragrance you think about again is usually the right one.
How much is in a 2 ml sample?
A 2 ml spray vial is enough for several days of testing, so you can wear a fragrance in different situations: at work, in the evening, in warm and cool weather.
